Bridges and Same-Visit Crowns
At Doylestown Dental, we offer preventive services like exams and professional cleanings so you can avoid dental problems. Even so, decay or an injury may occur that requires treatment to correct.
Dental damage can occur for many reasons, and they’re not all related to neglect. Biting down on a piece of hard candy may cause your tooth to crack, or you may lose a tooth because of an accident. Whatever the reason, it’s critical to address the problem quickly so you can avoid further damage and discomfort.
Durable Dental Crowns in One Visit!
Dental crowns are a restoration we use to protect a damaged tooth and restore its function. Creating lab-fabricated crowns isn’t complicated, but it is a process that is time-consuming and typically requires at least two visits to the dentist to complete.
Everyone’s time is valuable, so we are always looking for new ways to streamline your visits to minimize the time you have to devote to your oral health. We are pleased to offer our patients state-of-the-art dental crowns made using E4D technology that produces durable esthetic crowns in just one visit to our Doylestown, OH dental office.
Hate the process of having messy impressions taken? You will be happy to know that we’ve done away with the process by using a digital scanner to take impressions. Our doctors use these images to create a virtual crown, and the information is sent to a milling machine in our office where your custom crown is fabricated from a small block of porcelain.
From start to finish, the process takes less than two hours. During that time, we invite you to sit back and relax with a comfy pillow and blanket while you enjoy your favorite music or TV show.
Dental Bridges Replace Missing Teeth
It is always preferable to replace a lost tooth to restore appearance and function and avoid more complicated oral health problems. One type of tooth replacement we offer is fixed dental bridges.
Dental bridges are typically a fixed unit that consists of two crowns attached to adjacent teeth with an artificial tooth suspended between them. A bridge improves your appearance and allows you to smile with confidence again, and it also holds the space so adjacent teeth don’t gradually drift into the empty space.
Since a bridge is made up of three pieces, we cannot complete the entire process during one appointment. We use the same 4ED technology to design your bridge and then send the specifications to a custom dental lab. However, since we do all the planning here, a new bridge takes about a week to complete.
